THE SCHOLAR
For Dr. Franklin, knowledge is never the destination — it is the raw material for transformation.
The degrees are only the foundation.

Education
  • Ph.D. in Management from Walden University (Specialties: Leadership & Organizational Change)
  • MBA from Fontbonne University
  • B.A. from Indiana University (Political Science, Communications, French, Afro-American Studies)
What drives her is the discipline of staying ahead of emerging research, then converting it into something usable: a better decision, a stronger outcome, a changed trajectory.

Certifications
  • Strategic Human Resources Certificate, Cornell University
  • Diversity & Inclusion Certificate, Cornell University
  • Technology Leadership Certificate, Cornell University
  • ACBSP Evaluator, Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs

She doesn't just teach the curriculum, she builds it. Dr. Franklin has designed and developed courses including Adding Value Through Human Capital, a required MBA course, alongside Contemporary Human Resource Strategies, New Workforce Ecosystem, and two of her most personal: What's My Purpose and Fear Not!

Her academic reach extends across nine campuses and four continents.

Academic Reach
  • Executive-in-Residence, Webster University Walker School of Business
  • Directs 3 academic programs, 25+ courses
  • Leads a 35-person global team across 9 campuses, 4 continents
  • Visiting professor: Shanghai and Chengdu, China; Accra, Ghana
  • Leif J. Sverdrup Global Teaching Fellowship Award recipient (launched G.P.S., Global Positioning for Success)
Few people can say they've developed leaders in China. She can say it three times. Her reach doesn't stop there, she has developed leaders across Russia, Azerbaijan, and India as well.
THE AUTHOR
Dr. Franklin has authored more than a dozen published works spanning decades.

From Leadership Origins and the Organizational Effectiveness Handbook to The Influence of Spirituality on Servant Leadership, each one built to do the same thing: turn research into something usable, a better decision, a stronger outcome, a changed trajectory.

Her chapter “As the Heart Thinketh: See, Believe, Receive” appears in the forthcoming anthology MBA: Moving Beyond Adversity. Several additional titles release later this year. Stay tuned — more is coming.

What she has learned is only useful once it leaves her hands. The same is true of what you have learned.
THE CONSULTANT
Theory means little to Dr. Franklin without application.

Few consultants bring what she brings into the room. She has personally built and led organizations across media, real estate, advertising, and education, proof that leadership isn't a single skill but a transferable discipline.

Track Record
  • Founding and directing three multimillion-dollar corporations
  • Building one of the largest independently owned African American advertising agencies in the country, from the ground up
  • Co-founding and leading organizations including Franklin Enterprises and the Consortium for Leadership Development

Through FUSE, Inc., she served as agency of record for Barack Obama's 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns, and partnered with brands including Goldman Sachs, Gillette, AB InBev, CNN, and Adobe, collecting more than two hundred industry awards along the way.

That builder's instinct now shapes every engagement she brings into the boardroom: human capital strategy, talent calibration, diversity and inclusion, performance management built on evidence, not assumption.

She does not consult in theory. She consults from the inside of what she has already built.
THE COACH
Dr. Franklin has personally coached and trained more than two thousand individuals across industries.

Certifications
  • Board Certified Coach (BCC), Center for Credentials & Education
  • Associate Certified Coach (ACC), International Coach Federation
  • Certified Team Coach, Global Team Coaching Institute
  • Certified Master Trainer, Dufry International

Through the Consortium for Leadership Development, she has guided 30 high-potential professionals annually through an intensive 10-month executive development program, with more than 55% advancing to new levels of leadership as a direct result.

Whether she’s coaching a C-suite executive or mentoring a first-generation college student, her approach begins the same way — with awareness. Before anyone can lead well, they have to see themselves clearly: what drives them, what depletes them, what they have been avoiding. From that clarity, she helps people find the passion that signals purpose and fuels performance.

What sets her coaching apart is a singular focus on passion, which signals purpose and fuels performance. Thousands of leaders can trace a turn in their trajectory back to a single conversation with her.
THE SERVANT
Beneath every title above, and every accolade, is a single throughline:
Dr. Franklin's God-given purpose is to encourage and empower excellence in others.

She has served on the boards of The Salvation Army, Grace Hill Settlement House, and currently Girls Inc., alongside her work with the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Foundation, The Links, Incorporated, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. The organizations differ; the work is the same, pouring into people, particularly women, girls, and the underrepresented navigating competitive environments.

This calling finds its fullest expression through His Purpose Ministries, the platform she has built to help people discover their God-given purpose, and then walk in it. Licensed in gospel ministry and currently pursuing ordination, Dr. Franklin serves as Associate Minister at Washington Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, and hosts weekly prayer calls for those seeking to understand the purpose and power they've been given.

Every calling above draws from this same well. Dr. Franklin lives and leads in two realms at once, the secular and the sacred, and her success in the first is not separate from her life in the second. It flows from it.
